So for kicks....here's a shot of a 1986 finish line camera pic I recently found in a folder and scanned in. 1986 Massachusetts Bay State Games. 1st Place in Citizens category. My first race. The race was held on Memorial Drive in front of MIT - it had 2 180 turns at top/bottom of course and 2 trips over cobblestones under Mass Ave every lap - (which have been removed since). The infamous Dick Ring was announcing. Note the helmet.....the widely used Bell V1 Pro.....hairnet lookalike....
Posting it as my recent post on the Raleigh Boys reminded me of my early days....
