You can make a difference

Think Globally / Act Locally

Peace not War

All Politics are Local

Slogans abound in life today....for many reasons - brand awareness - rallying cries - you name it.....the three I listed are but a few appropriate for today...

Now I am no bleeding liberal - though my brother-in-law may think I am - I am a true independent - if you saw who I've voted for over the years you'd be amazed. What drives me most is a common sense approach to things as well as doing what the 'people' want.....vs corporate America vs lobbyists vs individual politicians. Granted we elect leaders to lead us - to listen to all the arguments and make the right decision based on that...sometimes it means bucking popular opinion or sentiment....but not to the detriment of that sentiment nor if it runs flat up against the same nor to cook the books to change that sentiment - hint hint.

Anyway..I was watching CSpan last nite and saw a piece on a documentary by Phil Donahue....it was called Body of War - soon to be out in theatres - very interesting. If you can download the podcast I would....

Also...I read that this Saturday from 8-9pm is Earth Hour. Turn your lights out for an hour - lets see what really can be done to reduce power consumption.... And yes global warming is real....it is not a cycle we are in ...we are changing the cycle prematurely.... it is an unconvenient truth.

so....in keeping w/ my post - JUST DO IT
